With Facebook and Google both set to release a location-based app soon, here’s a few things I’d like to see.
It seems like a combination of Google Latitude/Maps/Places/Navigation/Buzz would be perfect.
- Always on and tracking your movements
- Uses record of previous check-ins to suggest venues to visit (types of venues, hours of operation, price of goods)
- Nudges you to check-in when you are not moving for a certain amount of time
- Deep analytics of history of movements, travel routes, etc.
- Notify when you are close to friends
- Suggest meeting places in between you and a friend
- Good privacy control
